The 3-Step Process to Make Your Home Safe

Missing even ONE step risks your family’s health!

STEP 1: Pre-Remediation Testing

IDENTIFY THE HAZARDS. Some contamination goes undetected as it is invisible to the eye and odorless. At a minimum experts have told EFRU that residents should test for the RCRA 8 Heavy Metals as well as Asbestos. Industrial Hygenists should also be providing comprehensive recommendations for remediation of everything within the home.

STEP 2: Professional Remediation

LICENSED ABATEMENT. Cleaning up wildfire debris yourself doesn't remove hidden contamination. Professionals, licensed to abate the contamination found in testing, and following the IH recommendations, are the best approach to safely and effectively removing contamination from your home.

STEP 3: Post-Remediation Testing

PROVE CLEARANCE. The first round of remediation often doesn’t provide clearance. It’s vital to get confirmation that the home is safe to inhabit before moving back in.
